Finally!!! Spring is upon us. Here are some pictures from the vineyard.
Just when you think spring has arrived....it snows! (4/17/11)
A view of the vineyard with grow tubes removed and 1 year old vines staked ready for the trellis system to be installed.
A view of row 1, Marquette vines.
A Marquette vine tied to a stake.
Here is a great sign in spring. A healthy grape bud. Note the fuzz starting to show at the tip of the bud.
A view of the orchard. Note no willow tree in the background.
5/12/11
Lots of Dandelions, but the grapes are doing very well!!
It is hard to tell but where a yellow flag is is a newly planted grape vine.
What I thought was wild was that in one warm day (80+) the new shoots went from a slightly open bud to dull leaf opening.
These new shoots and leaves are huge.
